Another Day of Wind and Rain

Even with bad weather we still got our chainsawing done this afternoon. It rained a couple of times and the trees only fell one direction, but we got a lot done.
We also got some news today. The sailboat that was just here had some more trouble. Their transmission went out, so it looks like they'll be back on Thursday. They were about 200 miles away, but decided that Honolulu is too far. Nobody really knows what's going on yet but they were a great bunch of people so we'll be happy to have them back.
I haven't been able to take any pictures in the sun lately, so here's some I took with the clouds.

I think the bird silhouettes against the cloudy sky are far more dramatic than if the sun had been shining. Great photos. Too bad about the sailboat's troubles, but I'm sure they'll be glad to get to dry land again, where they can sort out what might be malfunctioning. With no transmission and no mast, how are they powering themselves along?

That is a real bummer for the sailors, those are not the kinds of problems that one wants to encounter when far from land. I wihs them all the best.

The sailboat has half of their mast so they can use the sail a little bit, but we'll probably have to tow them in to the pier.
